Sharifah Hardie to Host Networking Mixer for Black Business Owners Ahead of State Senate Run
In a move that spotlights the commitment to empowering Black entrepreneurship, Sharifah Hardie, a candidate for California State Senate District 33, is gearing up to host a networking mixer for Black business owners. The event, slated for January 7th, 2024, will take place at the Current Hotel in Long Beach, CA. Organized in collaboration with Black Business CoOp, Inc, the mixer will serve as a platform for discussion on the unique challenges encountered by Black entrepreneurs and strategies to overcome them.
Fostering Connections and Enhancing Business Skills
The goal of the mixer is two-fold: to foster connections between Black business owners and to provide a conducive environment for discussing key issues relevant to their businesses. Topics on the agenda include access to capital, marketing strategies, and navigating entrepreneurship as a Black business owner. By bringing together local business owners, community leaders, and potential mentors, the event aims to create a supportive network for Black-owned businesses.
Guest Speakers, Panel Discussions, and Interactive Activities
The networking mixer will feature guest speakers who have made significant strides in business. In addition to their inspiring stories, they will share practical insights into overcoming the hurdles faced by Black entrepreneurs. The event will also host panel discussions, providing an opportunity for in-depth examination of the issues at hand. Interactive activities are planned to facilitate engagement and foster a sense of community among the attendees.
Supporting Sharifah Hardie’s Campaign
The event, while empowering Black businesses, also seeks to garner support for Sharifah Hardie’s campaign ahead of the March 5th primary election. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute financially, volunteer, and spread awareness about Hardie’s campaign platform and goals. This initiative is a testament to Hardie’s commitment to foster and support Black entrepreneurship as part of her campaign.
